What these cover

Trapping Client is a Minecraft mod. Most of it runs on your own computer. Its online features run on trapping.xyz's servers: parties, shared waypoints, party chat, the trap kill leaderboard, cloud profiles and signing in to this website. These terms apply to those features. By downloading or using Trapping Client you accept them. If you don't, don't use the mod.

How we handle your data is in the privacy notice.

Your account

You sign in with your Minecraft account. The client asks Mojang's session server to confirm that you own it, the same check a Minecraft server makes when you join. We never see your Microsoft password. Sign-ins last 24 hours, then the client renews them.

Use the official client

The online features are for the official Trapping Client, downloaded from trapping.xyz or our Modrinth page. You agree not to:

• use the trapping.xyz API from any other mod, client, script or bot, or help someone else do it;
• collect presence, party or leaderboard data in bulk, or look up players you aren't playing with;
• get around a ban, a rate limit, a version check or any other limit on the service;
• share your sign-in with anyone or use someone else's;
• attack, overload or probe the service.

The client checks for updates and installs them. A version that is too old can be refused until it updates.

Behaviour

Party chat and waypoint names are seen by your party. Don't use them to harass anyone, to share anything illegal, or to post someone else's personal information. Each Minecraft server has its own rules. Following them is your responsibility, including any rules about mods like this one.

Bans and limits

If you break these terms we can limit what your account can do, or ban it from the online features, for a set time or until we lift it. A ban ends your sign-in at once and takes you out of your party. The client tells you the reason and when the ban ends. To appeal, ask in the trapping.xyz Discord.

The mod's code

Trapping Client is copyright trapping.xyz, all rights reserved. Bundled third-party components keep their own licences, listed inside the mod. You may install and use it, but you may not copy its code or assets into another project, publish a modified copy, or publish a client that pretends to be it. When we find copies of our code, we ask the site hosting them to take them down, for example with a DMCA notice.

No guarantees

The online features are free and provided as they are. They can be down, lose data or change, and we can stop any of them at any time. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for any loss that comes from using them. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the consumer law where you live.

trapping.xyz is not an official Minecraft product and is not approved by or associated with Mojang or Microsoft.

Changes and contact

When these terms change, the version at the top changes. Using the client after that means you accept the new version. Questions go to the trapping.xyz Discord.
